Water Reduction Project

The aims of this project were to save 500,000 Hl of water per year by recovering water, to reduce cooling tower usage by optimising wort cooling and lastly to increase hot water heating capacity in the brewhouse.

The Solution

The FDT engineers were involved in process design, technical support, quality and operational support during this project while working with site utilities manager and project managers. The work undertaken to complete this project:

  • Process Design - Heat exchanger & pump design, line sizing, updating P&IDs.

  • Drafting process description document and leading review meeting with software engineers.

  • HAZOP.

  • Analysing data from existing operations.
