Specialists in these industries...
FDT is a specialist engineering consultancy with a process engineering emphasis, operating in multinational markets. We help to make our customers more efficient, reduce operational costs, improve on site processes and to ensure success in meeting quality and compliance requirements.
NIRAS has acquired Irish FDT Consulting Engineers and Project Managers Ltd on 1 July 2024.
In joining NIRAS, FDT will contribute to a growing global engineering consultancy that operates within various industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, as well as green fuels and biosolutions.
In January 2022, FDT were contacted by Irish Distillers to support a Pernod Ricard Project in Chuan, China.
The site needed to have a process system and bottling line fully operational for early October 2023.
Fast track design, manufacture, install & commission were complete, and the plant has gone fully operational, producing both Chill filtered product and premium non chill filter product by 11th October 2023.
Congratulations to the FDT team as it nears completion of the Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study of a new-build facility for a major client. Lasting almost a year, and at over four hundred nodes, it has been one of the most challenging projects for our experienced staff.
If your project is ever in trouble, We’ll be there on the double.

Research, development and innovation are important parts of FDT’s business and overall philosophy. We believe it is vital to be up-to-date date on the latest solutions available in the different areas in which we work. Development of knowledge (at all career stages) is an important principle at FDT and as well as participating in external CPD events, we hold an internal training day each year where we share things that members of the team have learned during the year or invite specialist suppliers to introduce new technologies. We often share our knowledge and experience with the engineering and industry community through talks and publications
